| Sarit is multi-faceted photographer living in Southern California. She specializes in fine-art portraiture, creative commercial photography, musicians, and pinup. Sarit's fine-art focuses on playing with light, conceptualization, and various landscapes. Sarit mixes her shooting with digital and medium format. She refused to give up the wonderful square images created with her Hasselblad. Practically born with a camera in her hand, Sarit spent her early years putzing around in a darkroom with her dad. Unbeknownst to her, she discovered her first love: capturing spots in time and watching them come to life in the darkroom. Sarit eventually sought formal training for her photography, completing SMC’s photography program in 2008. Today, she brings her fine-art sensibilities to these various styles of photography, where she blends the aesthetic she loves with the technicality at which she excels. A body-image advocate , Sarit is also working on creating a series of conceptual images intended to bring attention to the multiple facets of beauty, further exploring the beauty myth. When Sarit's not chasing light, she can be found baking, tweeting, hanging out with her wonderful husband and amazing son, and of course, playing with her fierce cat. |
